Cycling

The old railway lines throughout Derbyshire have become very popular trails for walkers and cyclists.

Because they run almost flat throughout this beautiful landscape they are perfect for people with access difficulties.

The Peak District National Park put in place a programme to open up some of the tunnels and now everyone can enjoy the thrills of the spectacular route from Bakewell to Topley Pike near Buxton on the Monsal Trail.

Monsal, Tissington and High Peak trails are perfect for cycling and with cycles suitable for disabled people for hire at Hassop Station and Parsley Hay it makes a great family day out.

Peak Cycle Links is a local charity set up to promote, deliver and manage these popular routes in the Peak District.
