Edensor Tea Cottage
The Tea Cottage is a privately operated family business managed by Sam Titterton who trained as a chef at the University of Derby - Buxton Campus and worked in a number of establishments before becoming a chef at Chatsworth, under the watchful eye of head chef, Adam Johnson. It was while working at Chatsworth that Sam had the desire to use his skills, working for himself.
The Estate had taken back the lease of the old Edensor Post Office and tea room and were looking for a partner to join in a major refurbishment and modernisation of the premises and Sam's family agreed to support him in his desire to create a local tea room and cafe using the finest locally sourced product available to be served in a relaxed, homely environment with excellent customer service staffed by local employees, fantastically supported by the Chatsworth Estate.
The Tea Cottage re-opened in March 2012 and has very quickly established itself as a place for good, home cooked.
We are open daily throughout the year.
The Tea Cottage is home to the Chatsworth WI, the local Knit and Natter and a number of other small local groups, making it a true community focussed business.
Throughout 2013 we will be launching our external catering facilities for local holiday cottages and local residents alike - watch out for further details.
We look forward to welcoming you to Edensor Tea Cottage where you can graze through the morning with a full Peak District Breakfast, through to morning coffee and Lunch whilst reading your book or the daily newspapers or working on your laptop.
We have free to use 10Mb wi-fi supplied by W3Z throughout the cottage for your convenience.
▪ Probably one of Accessible Derbyshire favourite locations! This tea-room has level access and an accessible toilet. Parking is available in the private car park.
