Erewash Borough Council donate Changing Places kit!
We are very grateful to Erewash Borough Council who donated a full Changing Places kit!
Following the closure of one of the Co-op home stores in the area Erewash Borough Council found that the kit from the Changing Places facility in the store was no longer needed. Rather than it being left unused they put out a message on the Changing Places 'yahoo group' asking if anyone could use the kit which would be supplied free of charge provided that the new owners paid for it's removal and transportation.
Accessible Derbyshire picked up the message and after a conversation with staff from Crich Tramway Village at the Visit Peak District conference last year were able to make them aware of the Changing Places kit available.
Having sought permission from their trustees the tramway village have agreed to install a Changing Places toilet at the site utilising the equipment from Erewash which will be a fantastic addition to the attraction making it accessible for even more people!
A HUGE 'thank you' goes to Erewash Borough Council and Crich Tramay Village for such a fabulous, collaborative project!
