The Plough Inn

A privately owned 16th century, cosy country inn situated on the banks of the River Derwent. This is definitely a favourite of Accessible Derbyshire. As with many, the dimensions of these old country pubs can be pretty tight, but the great news about the Plough Inn is the recent renovation of a beautiful downstairs double bedroom, with level access shower.
Although within the pub there are no accessible toilets for wheelchair users, there is now the option to stay at this cosy country inn with its coal fires, fine wining and dining and welcoming atmosphere. A perfect base for exploring the whole of Accessible Derbyshire!

We warmly invite you to drop in to enjoy a local 'Bradfield Brewery' ale or a glass of prosecco on our sun terrace which was extended last year. If you are looking for outside seating we have two other areas which are also popular; our courtyard which is a favourite on those summers evening or the beer garden, ideally situated on the grassy area below our sun terrace, adjacent to Highlow brook where you can listen to the sounds of the running water.
Our head chef Robert Navarro has been with us for the past eight years and he takes great pride in his seasonal menu changes. All our food is cooked by our dedicated team of chefs, cooked fresh and to order. Should you have specific dietary requirements, please inform a member of our team who will be able to assist you. Whilst we do not serve 'fast food', we do aim to serve food as quickly as possible.
During our busy periods, we thank you for your patience and rest assured that all of our team are working as hard as possible to deliver you the best food service.
Our 16th Century Inn is situated in nine acres of its own private land which gently slope towards the banks of the River Derwent.
In the winter months our large open fire is a welcome site for all our guests. We also have two log burners which are very popular on a cold winter nights. Booking are not essential but are advisable.  We look forward to welcoming you shortly,
