No, we’ve not been playing Monopoly! Accessible Derbyshire has applied to Chesterfield Borough Council’s Community Assembly Community Chest fund.
The £5,000 funding application for a new information point in the Market Hall in Chesterfield comprising of a t.v. screen and touch-screen computer was submitted last week. If successful, it will enable people to access information on all the accessible attractions and amenities that Derbyshire has to offer, right in the centre of town.
Another part of the bid was to fund additional signage for the new Changing Places facility in the Market Hall (due to open in May) and to fund the filming of some of the many accessible local attractions with Visit Britain in partnership with the Accessible Derbyshire team in June of this year.
We should hear the outcome of the bid in the next few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed!
