ACCESSIBLE DERBYSHIRE FUN DAY - 30TH AUGUST!

24th Aug 2014

This coming Saturday, 30th August, students from the National Citizenship Service are hosting a charity fun-day full of accessible 'have-a-go' activities!

Accessible activities on offer during the day include archery, football, cycling, golf and sailing with 'Sailability'. In addition, the fabulous 'Boma 7' 'all-terrain' wheelchair will be there on hire from Hoe Grange holidays, Brassington together with a cake-stall and raffle with a host of prizes to be won.

Gillian Scotford, charity co-founder said: “ For disabled people it can sometimes be difficult to try something new so this is an ideal opportunity for people of all ages to come along and have a go at a range of activities in a fabulous yet safe environment.”

Fellow co-founder Jane Carver added: “We are really grateful to the National Citizenship Service Students who have organised the day for us and couldn't wish for a more enthusiastic and creative group of people to be supporting us.”

The day runs from 11.00am until 4.00pm and is open to both disabled and able-bodied people.

There is no need to book so just turn up and enjoy!
