Parliementary Reception for Accessible Derbyshire!
Parliament is the latest venue to welcome local charity Accessible Derbyshire. By invitation of Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins charity Founders Gillian Scotford and Jane Carver travelled to Westminster for a parliamentary reception.
Toby attended the reception along with Dennis Skinner (MP for Bolsover), David Blunkett (MP for Sheffield, Brightside and Hillsborough), Andrew Bingham (MP for High Peak), Natasha Engell (MP for North East Derbyshire), Meg Munn (MP for Sheffield Heeley), Kevin Barron (MP for Rother Valley) and Labour Shadow Minister for Disabled People Kate Green amongst others.
During the reception, attendees heard about the charity's Big Push project: a two-year initiative to make the Peak Park and Derbyshire the most accessible National Park and County in the country and were able to chat to Gillian and Jane about their fundraising work and projects.
