Ashgate Croft School in Chesterfield have given their support to Accessible Derbyshire!

The school's Easter Fair was held today with the proceeds going to support the charity set up by Gillian Scotford and Jane Carver who have close links with the Ashgate Croft. Gillian, whose son Tom attends the school, led the appeal to build its three accessible playgrounds and Jane, whose daughter Megan used to attend the school, led the 'Pool For Megan And Her Friends Appeal' to build the school's pool.

Parents, pupils, staff and carers turned out in force to enjoy a variety of stalls including cake and plant sales  plus  a raffle packed with chocolatey prizes which proved to be very popular!

Gillian said :

"We are absolutely thrilled that Ashgate Croft has chosen to support our new charity. Through our children this very special school has  played an important part in the lives of both myself and Jane.

The aim of Accessible Derbyshire is to improve the lives of disabled people, their families and carers and we are delighted to say that the funds raised today will be donated back to the school for that very purpose."

A big 'thank you' to everyone at Ashgate Croft from the Accessible Derbyshire team!
