NCS Students raise an amazing £351!

7th Apr 2015

On 30th August last year, students from the National Citizenship Service hosted a charity fun-day full of accessible 'have-a-go activities and raised a magnificent £351 for Accessible Derbyshire!

Accessible activities on offer during the day included archery, football, cycling, golf and sailing with 'Sailability', together with a cake-stall and raffle with a host of prizes to be won.

Gillian Scotford, charity co-founder said: “ For disabled people it can sometimes be difficult to try something new so this was an ideal opportunity for people of all ages to go along and have a go at a range of activities in a fabulous yet safe environment.”

Fellow co-founder Jane Carver added: “We were really grateful to the National Citizenship Service Students who organised the day for us and couldn't wish for a more enthusiastic and creative group of people to have supported us.”
