Disability Rocks founders Richard and Caroline Sutton comment, “2015 is the year of the Disability Rocks Big Tour when we’ll be visiting four regions of the UK. We’re delighted to be coming to Lea Green, the second of this year’s festivals.
“The events have been carefully curated with inclusivity and accessibility in mind. We’re incredibly proud of the line-up which offers something for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

“All our 2015 events will feature a Mobile Changing Places unit which includes a fully automatic tracking hoist, height adjustable changing bench, peninsular toilet and plenty of space.”

The headline sponsor for this event is national health and social care provider Eden Futures who have been providing support in the Midlands for over 20 years. Eden Futures CEO, Andrew Lennox comments: “Eden Futures is very pleased to be supporting the Disability Rocks Festival. Music and Art open up so many doors to us all, and Disability Rocks has developed a great way to help those we care for to access and enjoy them. “At Eden Futures we believe in helping those we support to engage in new experiences and widen their horizons. Traditional music concerts can be daunting for many, so to support an event that has access and inclusiveness at its heart from the beginning is really exciting. “I know that many of our staff and those we support are already looking forward to the event”

The festival is supported by Nominet Trust and Arts Council England. Tickets can be bought ahead of the event on the Disability Rocks website http://disabilityrocks.org/product/lea-green-centre-matlock-derbyshire) with under 5s attending free, £10 for under 12s, £15 for adults and the first carer goes free.

Richard concludes, “We hope that everyone who visits will have an amazing time and can’t wait to welcome individuals, families, carers and support organisations throughout the region to Lea Green on 9th May.”
