Auction for Action raises £1063.90!

This evening was Hanson's Auctioneers' 'Auction for Action.' This new initiative led by Auctioneer Charles Hanson of T.V.'s 'Bargain Hunt' fame and organised by Barbara Worsley from the Royal School For the Deaf has been many months in the planning. It  purpose is to raise funds for several charities in Derbyshire including our very own Accessible Derbyshire.

Attendees on the night were treated not only to an exciting auction with some very exciting and unique lots, but also to a beautiful 'signed' performance by students from the Royal School for the Deaf.

This enjoyable evening was a huge success raising £972.23 for Accessible Derbyshire through the auction with a further £91.67 being given to the charity as its share of the raffle proceeds making a whopping £1063.90 in total.

We want to say a massive 'thank you' to everyone who organised the event especially to Charles Hanson and Barbara Worsley, to the organisations who donated prizes such as Hoe Grange Holidays , Lea Green and Chatsworth House,  to everyone who supported the event by purchasing raffle tickets and to all those who came  along on the night to bid for or buy the auction lots.

What a success!

Best wishes,

Jane and Gillian
