We're Going On A Bear Hunt - 'relaxed' performance

Following on from the recent success of the 'relaxed' performance of  Snow White at  the Pomegranate theatre in Chesterfield, theatre-goers can look forward to another 'relaxed' treat!

The West End smash hit 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' is coming to the Pomegranate from Thursday, 11th to Sunday, 14th February with the 'relaxed' performance taking place on Sunday, 14th at 10.30am.

Open to everyone these performances are specifically adapted for those with learning disabilities and other sensory and communication disorders and provide a more relaxed and supportive atmosphere in order to reduce anxiety and allow people who might otherwise feel excluded, the chance to experience live theatre.

Typcially, lighting is kept at a low level rather than the auditorium being completely dark, the doors are kept open throughout the performance, patrons are able to bring their own food and there is even a 'quiet zone' in the bar for those who might feel a little overwhelmed. Our blog entry on Snow White gives an idea of what you can expect: http://www.accessiblederbyshire.org/blog/2015/12/29/Relaxed_Snow_White_is_a_hit/
