National Stone Centre

The National Stone Centre Site covers 50 acres, about half of which is designated nationally as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological features; the grounds are open seven days a week all year round free of charge.

The Visitor Centre, Building Britain Exhibition and shop are open every day (except on Christmas & Boxing Days). Fees for the exhibition are as listed. Special rates for schools and groups are available - please contact them for more information.)

There is a designated parking area for less able visitors giving level access to the Visitor Centre and activity areas. The outdoor Geo-Trail follows natural contours and is not suitable for wheelchair users. Toilets for less able visitors are located inside the Visitor Centre. There is an accessible cafe available in the visitor centre.
