Subtitles for the hearing impaired are available at certain performances (check with the box office or on the Cineworld website) and hearing loops (either infra red or induction) are installed at most cinemas.
Type Talk calls are available on their telephone booking service.
Audio description performances for people with visual impairment may be available. (Again, check with the box office or website) Guide dogs are welcome at all times in all cinemas.
There are also ‘Autism Friendly’ screenings of some films at Chesterfield Cineworld. These differ from regular screenings in a number of ways: lighting is kept on during the screening, volume levels are reduced, there are no advertisements or trailers, seating is not allocated and customers are allowed to bring in their own food.

To benefit from this scheme all you need is to have a CEA card (Cinema Exhibitors’ Association) card. Getting one is easy! If you require a carer to accompany you during your cinema visits, simply apply for your CEA card by picking up an application form from the cinema foyer or from www.ceacard.co.uk. The CEA card also helps the cinema to ensure that reasonable support is made available to you.
