The Cavendish is a stylish, 2AA rosette, country hotel, formerly a coaching inn, set on the Chatsworth Estate with far reaching views from bedrooms, public areas and the south facing terrace across estate pasture and parkland.

The hotel's two restaurants – the Gallery Restaurant and the open-all-day Garden Room – offer a choice of tasty, freshly cooked modern British cooking using local produce as well as a well chosen selection of wines.

Wheelchair access to the hotel is via a ramp that leads on to the front terrace with entry via the Garden Room as the main front door as a few steps.

All the ground floor is level with a mix of carpets, stone flags and other hard flooring. There are wide doorways and dining tables suitable for accommodating a wheelchair. However there is no public disabled w.c. facility.

In the adjacent Coach House there are two accessible bedrooms which have been created for the comfort of wheelchair users including low level cupboards, wardrobe hooks, switches etc and a well equipped bathroom.

Both rooms are beautifully furnished and offer the same high level of comfort as throughout the hotel. Entry to the Coach House is also made accessible with an automatically opening, wide door.

Whilst we do not currently have hearing or sight aids, reception and restaurant staff are always on hand to help.
