N.C.S. STUDENTS GIVE A.D. THE 'THUMBS UP'!

18th Aug 2014

On Thursday and Friday Accessible Derbyshire worked students from the National Citizenship Service (NCS) in Buxton.

During the programme, whch is open to 16 and 17 year olds, participants develop a social action project to deal with a local issue they are passionate about, and spend 30 hours putting the project into action in their community.

Gillian and Jane delivered a number of sessions on accessibility, enabling students to experience at first hand some of the issues associated with being disabled as well as to learn about the work of Accessible Derbyshire.

Pictured from left to right are NCS students Nathan Craig, Simon Finney and Shay Pennington whose team were really interested in the work of the charity: so much so that Nathan and Shay donned wigs in the Accessible Derbyshire colours. Very fetching!

Cheers guys :-)
