Accessible Performances at Chesterfield Theatres

The Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield is all set to celebrate its 70th anniversary with a range of accessible performances.

Wendy Blunt, Health and Well-Being Officer at Chesterfield Borough Council told us that:

"First of all we have our 70th anniversary season at the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield – this will comprise of seven plays over seven weeks.  Each week there will be a BSL signed performance and there will also be two audio described performances and two touch tours.

We have films for people with dementia/memory challenges, films to get people out of the home and socialising in our Afternoon at the Movies events and other films that are captioned or audio described"

Full details of these fabulous, accessible performances can be seen by clicking on the link below:

The events, which start tomorrow, 18th January, are an excellent addition to the Pomegranate's offering, which have the potential to open up the theatre experience for all.

Congratulations and a huge 'thank you' to everyone at Chesterfield Theatres from the Accessible Derbyshire team!
