Accessibility theme for National Parks Week in Derbyshire

Today marks the start of National Parks Week across the country: a time to celebrate and enjoy all that 'Britain's Breathing Spaces' have to offer.

Here in the Peak District, we are delighted to say that National Parks Week has an 'accessibility' theme, with a number of events specifically tailored around meeting the needs of disabled people, their families, friends and companions.

Events range from guided Miles Without Stiles walks on 24th, 26th and 28th July, to 'taster' trips aboard the wheelchair accessible Wheelyboat, the 'Ray of Sunshine' on Thursday, 26th July which Accessible Derbyshire is proud to have helped to fund.

So, why not go for it? Take a break from the norm this week and enjoy our beautiful National Park as never before?

And if you do, why not send a picture or video of your adventures for us to share?

Further information about the accessible events happening during National Parks Week can be found at http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/learning-about/news/current-news/access-for-all-as-the-peak-district-celebrates-national-parks-week
