Accessible Derbyshire wins Voluntary Sector Award
Hot on the heals of its own awards ceremony, Accessible Derbyshire itself won an award tonight at the annual Voluntary Sector Awards at the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield.
The charity had been shortlisted for Organisation of the Year in the 'income under £25k' category and was successful in winning the award on the night.
Co-Founder of the charity Gillian Scotford said that "It was such a surprise to win the award considering the many fantastic, voluntary organisations that there are in the area. We are are absolutely delighted!"
The award, sponsosred by Octaris Ltd was presented on the night in front of a packed audience by Councillor Rosie Smith. The awards are an annual event organised by Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Volunteer Centre.
