Sam Hindley and the Derbyshire Volunteers donate £2000!
Today we want to say a massive 'Thank you' to Sam Hindley and the Derbyshire Volunteers Folk Group for their very generous donation of £2000 towards are Wheelboat appeal for Ladybower Reservoir.
The Derbyshire Volunteers donated the money originally to Sam who then decided to donate the funds to Accessible Derbyshire.
Sam handed over the cheque in front of a packed audience at the Derby Fold Festival this evening.
The funds will be used towards the purchase of a Wheelyboat which will make Ladybower Reservoir accessible for all and we are incredibly grateful to Sam and to the Derbyshire Volunteers for their amazing generosity. Your donation really will make such a difference.
Thank you to you all!!!
Gillian and Jane.
UPDATE!
Thanks to the donation by Sam and the Derbyshire Volunteers, combined with amazing fundraising efforts by Ladybower fisheries, the Grayling Society and Williams and Glyn's Bank in Dronfield, our shiny, new accessible Wheelyboat was launched on Ladybower reservoir on 20th October, 2016.
