DATE FOR YOUR DIARY!

TUESDAY 19th JULY IS NATIONAL CHANGING PLACES DAY!

Changing Places are a vital element in making Derbyshire accessible to everyone. We have a dedicated section to Changing Places in Derbyshire on our website http://www.accessiblederbyshire.org/changing-places/ and have personally campaigned for their provision locally since 2003 - that's 3 years before the Mencap campaign was even launched!

We are therefore absolutely delighted to announce that 19th July this year will be the first ever National Changing Places day and are especially proud as Accessible Derbyshire was instrumental in initiating the day!

On that day Accessible Derbyshire, The Changing Places Consortium, campaigners and official campaign sponsors Aveso will be celebrating 10 years since the launch of the campaign back in 2006 and highlighting the work of the wonderful Changing Places campaigners across the UK.

Please save the date in your diary and get involved!

There have been many campaigners involved across the area over the years and we want to hear from you all so please let us know what you would like to do to get involved in celebrating this great anniversary.

There will be lots happening on the day and in the months before. Details to follow from the Changing Places Consortium and Aveso about how you can get involved.

Let’s make sure that the whole of the UK knows about the Changing Places campaign on July 19th! You can contact Jane or Gillian at Accessible Derbyshire by emailing info@accessiblederbyshire.org, you can Email ChangingPlaces@mencap.org.uk  or call the Changing Places consortium on 020 7696 6019

Let's make it a day to remember: Changing Places really do change lives!
